Steven and Stella are an English couple in Laguna - debauched, illegal and on the run. She works in a gallery and he has affairs; he pilots a boat for a plastic surgeon and likes to watch her. When she thinks she has a stalker, he congratulates her on having "this year's must-have accessory". The cop they call in thinks he's dealing with a couple of English wackos with less than perfect teeth but he's damned if she isn't sexy as hell.
Cue a spiral of violence, paranoia and death under the California sun . . .
