What happens when a young woman, having merely been in the wrong place at the wrong time, is accidentally caught up in a dangerous murder investigation?
Set in New York and Minneapolis-St. Paul, 'Pretend You Don't See Her' is the story of Lacey Farrell, a young rising star on Manhattan's high-powered and competitive real estate scene. While selling a coop, Lacey witnesses a murder and hears the dying words of a woman who says her attacker is after her journal. Lacey gets the journal and gives it to the police...but keeps a copy for herself. Lacey is placed in the witness protection program and sent to live in Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where she assumes a new life until the killer is brought to trial.
Under her new identity, Lacey falls in love with Tom Lynch, a young radio talk-show host. He feels the same way, but how can she commit to him when she can't even tell him her true name? The killer traces her to Minneapolis and she is forced to return to New York and try to confront the threat head-on and uncover who was behind the deaths.
