Based in Cairo, Fin is a mediocre journalist on the scent of the story to end all stories. With little more than a rumpled linen suit to his name, he's hot on the trail of Farouk, the mercurial teller of tales and kidnap victim. Fuelled by whisky and a thousand glasses of tea, Fin launches himself into the dusty delirium of Cairo in search of the succulent kebab that could lead to Farouk himself, as well as the truth about what skinhead Said found in the tunnel beneath his house near the pyramids. This is a magical tale set in atmospheric Egypt and peopled by colourful characters who will linger long after you turn the last page.
