The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy's not taking any risks . . . .This year, St. Vlad's annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.
But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price . . . Once bitten twice shy After the first book I went straight into the second book. In this novel we meet Rose's mother and more students at the academy. After a tough reunion with her mother Rose and friends go on a trip to a ski resort where everything breaks down. After losing a loved one it's all about survival as Rose and friends fight to survive against a strigoi attack which leads Rose to make an important first. Really entertaining and worth the money spent. christopher, 18/05/2013 An Excellent Sequel! This is a great second instalment to the Vampire Academy series. Fans of the first book will not be disappointed. This book has twice the romance and action that was in the first book making it an even more exciting and enjoyable read, not to mention the continuous thrilling events and surprises that keep you immersed in story. Readers learn more about the characters and their powers as this sequel unfolds. I recommend this to people who have a love for supernatural/fantasy novels. Sarah, 19/12/2008
