A crazed fan is stalking true-crime writer Garner Quinn, sending letters thick with sexual and violent overtones to her remote, unlisted address which she shares with her young daughter and elderly house-keeper. Garner is right to be concerned. The fan has read all her books, taped all her television appearances, and worse, knows her every move.
The only way to protect her family is to find the stalker before his words become actions. Pushed to the edge, she hires Reed Corbin, founder of a prestigious security firm, who takes a personal interest in the case - and in Garner. Together they embark on a quest to learn whether the threats to Garner are personal, or more far-reaching than they could ever have imagined.
