As an ex-used-car salesman who's been caught up in endless scams, Harold Dodge seems like the right kind of man to help his friend Vikki collect on a life insurance policy for her murdered husband.
Piece of cake. Except when Vikki falls under the control of a slippery insurance agent, their quest for the money is detoured into the Port of Los Angeles and into a sub-culture of gang bangers, chop shop operators, car thieves and homicide cops. On top of that, Harold's past threatens to catch up with him in the form of two LA homicide cops who just don't like his style . . .
