This is my (Kevin Bates) manual to my daughter Lois.
Rules of The Manual:
1.You must only read each new entry on your birthday' every year until you are thirty.
2.This is a private manual between me and you
3.No peeping at the next entry!
4.You are allowed to look back at previous entries. Actually I insist on it!
When Lois Bates is handed The Manual she can barely bring herself to read it as the pain of her dad's death is still very raw. He may not be able to be with his daughter' but Kevin's written advice accompanies Lois through school' adolescence' jobs and a string of bad relationships.
But The Manual can never be a substitute for having her dad back. Soon Lois realises that if she ever wants to fulfill her own dreams' she'll have to take her life into her own hands.
