Ashley Kalagian Blunt's Dark Mode is a physiological thriller that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. Set in Sydney it follows Reagan Carsen who has stayed away from social media of any kind until a shocking murder of a woman that looks remarkably like her. I've always enjoyed my crime fiction novels but they tend to be written from a detective or sometimes even the murders POV so it was refreshing although scary to be in the shoes of a potential victim. If you're a fan of The Silent Patient you're sure to be addicted to Dark Mode. - Jessica (QBD)

Dark Mode is an eerie yet compelling book that drives individuals to assess the security of their technological safety. Set in Sydney, a place that for me, is so close to home... I found myself being equally interested and terrified at the concepts that were being perfectly articualted in front of me. The only downside to this book was that it was detrimental to my sleep schedule; because it was too hard to put down and left me overthinking everything I thought I once knew. If you want a book that will cause a lot of thinking and questioning about the societal normalities of todays constantly evolving technology and its consequences then I would definitely recommend this book for you. - Gracie (QBD)
