A young woman's body is discovered on a small Dutch island, her head heavily wrapped in cling film. Inspector Jaap Rykel's been flown in to oversee the investigation and - hopefully - solve this gruesome murder swiftly.
When another body is discovered on the mainland, however, head enveloped, Jaap must accept that he might actually be hunting the first major serial killer in the Netherlands' history.
Whenever Jaap feels he's closing in on his culprit he's forced to change course. Is the killer unstable and erratic, or is someone deliberately pulling the strings?
