Some secrets are best left buried...
When Billy Huber is found dead outside his house, the police at first assume he fell from a ladder, injuring his throat and smashing his head in the process. Only on closer inspection do they see a polished stone nearby, with a number on one side etched in blood, and a strange symbol on the other.
Reporter Nikki Gillette seizes on the story and visits Huber's sprawling property in Georgia's low country to learn more about the case.
But within days, another body is found. And when more victims follow, each killed in the same way and found with a stone engraved with a different number and symbol, it becomes clear that there's a murderer on the loose.
