Scared to Death

Elsa and Brett's adopted son Jeremy was so small when he was abducted. Years have passed since that day and although Elsa Cavalon has moved on, she is still not over Jeremy's death. Though still mourning for Jeremy, she and her husband are adopting a seven year old girl named Renny so that they can continue their family and hopefully complete their healing process.
But one night Renny wakes up, screaming that a 'monster' was standing over her bed. By the time Elsa hears her calls and gets to her, the man is gone - but the previously locked window is wide open, as well as the screen. Elsa can't live through the nightmare of having a child taken from her again and swiftly escapes into total denial. Yet, when she finds broken branches and strange footprints outside the window she is sent into a panic. As old memories and signs of their murdered son come back to haunt them and their newfound happiness, Elsa must combat not only her own fears but threats from an unexpected - and powerful - source.
